Softline Group takes huge global step and is recognised as »Challenger« in the world-wide top 7 of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for SAM Managed Services

Leipzig, July 14th, 2021 – Softline Group, a European and globally acting IT consulting company, focussing on IT Asset Management, Information- and IT Security, Cloud & Future Datacentre and Digital Workplace, has been acknowledged by Gartner as “Challenger” and is now part of the Top 7 of SAM Managed Service providers worldwide. Since Softline’s addition to the Gartner Magic Quadrant on global players last year, Softline managed to climb up 3 steps from “niche” to the “challengers” position on the worldwide scale.

“We are very excited and proud of this great acknowledgement by Gartner and the position we now hold in the Software Asset Management Magic Quadrant. By joining forces with Softline International, we managed to grow our presence to a worldwide scale, with a local representation in well-over 50 countries and SAM managed services resources in different regions, now including LATAM and APAC. Furthermore, with the increase of 6 additional reporting resources in 18 of the 31 markets assessed in this Magic Quadrant, and the introduction of an international bid team across multiple regions to structure the pricing mechanism, we managed to take an important international step.”, says Martin Schaletzky, CEO of the Softline Group.

In the Gartner Magic Quadrant report it is stated that Softline Group reported among the highest rate of resource increase and having made investments in SaaS management capability at the same time. "The basis of our services is our unique, on ISO/IEC based framework, “House of ITAM®” with which we guide organisations in their journey towards a high ITAM maturity level, helping them to achieve Compliance, Control, and Cost savings by offering them the right selection of managed services. We find it important to measure ongoing benefits, identify potential savings upfront, and reaffirm performance to expectations, while leveraging dedicated service delivery managers. A quality that is well acknowledged by Gartner in the MQ report as well.”, Schaletzky adds.

“This Magic Quadrant will help the market to get a better understanding of the SAM Managed Services playing field. All providers have their own set of skills and approaches, that each fit a specific question. What I am personally most proud of, is the fact that we are able to report the highest unique client growth rate of all providers in the Magic Quadrant, with notable contributions from EMEA and APAC, and this only strengthens our believe that we are on the right path: by continuous focussing on the customer’s needs and to walk with them on their specific, but most of all, unique SAM & ITAM journey”, says Martin Schaletzky.
