Leipzig, Paris, September 30th, 2020. The Softline Group, an international IT consulting firm focusing on Software Asset Management (SAM), Information- and IT-Security, Cloud and Future Datacenter and Digital Workplace withdraws from software sales business in France.
"For strategic reasons, the Softline Group decided to withdraw from the French software business in order to focus exclusively on the growth of its consulting portfolio. Therefore, the ITANCIA Group is taking over our software sales business with immediate effect. We will continue to work on projects together, which relate to the French market. In the future, these projects will be supported from the DACH and Northern Europe regions of the Softline Group. We are pleased to hand over this line of business to the ITANCIA Group, which supports customers in realizing their specific needs", explains Martin Schaletzky, CEO of Softline AG.
ITANCIA acquires the business of Software Technology Resources (STR), a brand of Softline Solutions France, which is a subsidiary of Softline AG, in order to expand the range of technological value-added services and solutions as part of its European growth strategy. These will now be supplemented by the sale of professional software and all associated services such as consulting, training and user support.
Software Technology Resources (a brand of Softline Solutions France) is a logical addition to the range of products and services offered by the ITANCIA Group: "The takeover of STR enables us to enrich our range of products and services and to meet the growing demand of our customers for IT software. Over the years, STR has succeeded in developing key competencies and building a good reputation in its market. After taking over the cybersecurity specialist NIS in 2019, we continue to position ourselves as a global player that meets all customer needs in the sectors IT, telecommunications and cybersecurity. The solutions offered by STR fit perfectly our existing value-added services. In order to facilitate the synergy of the group's teams, all STR employees will work at our location in Nanterre (92) in the future”, explains Thierry Le Goff, managing director of the ITANCIA Group.
The acquisition represents an important step for ITANCIA to continue its development of innovative solutions and value-added services that respect the environment.
